At 862 acres, Riverside Park is the second largest park in the city, and features the Taggart Memorial Amphitheater, home to the Indianapolis Shakespeare Company, an aquatic center, three golf courses, the Indy Cycloplex, and the longest soapbox derby track in the nation.
Speedway is world famous as the home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which hosts the largest single day sporting event in the world, the Indianapolis 500. Racing enthusiasts are thrilled by the unique opportunities offered by tours of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and the Dallara IndyCar Factory. Just 15 minutes from downtown, Speedway offers traditional American homes and a charming, walkable Main Street. Avon offers lovers of the outdoors endless opportunities: playgrounds, walking trails, fishing ponds, outdoor ping pong, a nature preserve, a waterpark, amongst many other amenities. The Hendricks County Rib Fest & BBQ is a popular yearly event that includes great food, live music, a balloon glow, and fireworks.
One of the fastest-growing communities in Indiana, Brownsburg has been recognized as one of CNN Money magazines “Best Places to Live.” You’ll find a blend of traditional American homes and new construction in this bustling community. Brownsburg has its own motorsports claim to fame, as Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is home to the most prestigious drag racing event in the world, and the town is also home to many motorsports team headquarters.
