After graduating from Purdue University, Chanda became a first-time home buyer in downtown Indianapolis, which expanded her interest in real estate. She and her husband, Jeff, acquired and managed several residential rentals, renovated a home for resale, and invested in vacant lots while working in their respective careers. In 2011, Chanda decided to leave the non-profit sector to pursue her passion for real estate full-time. Since then, she has not looked back. Chanda has helped hundreds of clients achieve their real estate goals and has personally represented more than $80 million in career sales. She invests in residential and commercial properties in the Indy area and occasionally renovates homes for resale. Chanda loves to share her extensive knowledge of new construction, historic renovation, and investment opportunities to educate and empower her clients.
Chanda has been an active member of The Old Northside Neighborhood Association and The Old Northside Foundation, Inc. over the past decade, serving in various leadership roles throughout the years. Chanda lives in a 1920s French Normandy-style home with her husband and two children in midtown’s Butler-Tarkington neighborhood. Chanda goes above and beyond to help her clients make well-informed decisions while having fun along the way.
< BackJess Martin relocated to Indianapolis in 2008 for a career in interior design, and quickly fell in love with the city and its culture. < BackAlly loves Indianapolis and has called the city home for over 20 years (other than a brief stint in New York, which she’d love to tell you about sometime). < BackA Hoosier at birth, Elizza grew up in Michigan and Wisconsin but has proudly called Indianapolis her home now for 20 years. She still loves to visit the lake towns up north. Elizza enjoys getting outdoors and traveling Indianapolis by car, bicycle and in a pair of running shoes. She loves her northside neighborhood of Devonshire in Washington Township and actively supports her local, public schools. One of her favorite things about living in Indy is the access to wonderful outdoor spaces within the city – she lives just a few short miles from Fort Harrison State Park.
Elizza made the move to real estate after spending the last 10 years in customer service. This is one of her biggest assets to her clients. She loves taking care of people and sharing her contagious passion. Along with her background in marketing and her attention to detail, Elizza’s number one goal is for her clients to feel supported and understood throughout the buying or selling process. Indianapolis is a surprising mix of culture, community and affordability. She’s excited to show you.
< BackBorn a Hoosier, Kyle has lived in many states since coming home to Indiana in 2012—California, Florida, Illinois, and Michigan. He now calls Historic Meridian Park his home, enjoying the spoils of a centralized location and Indy’s best neighbors (change my mind) with his talented wife, Anna, and his two funny daughters, Margot and Simone.
Living his best life in HMP certainly has developed his appreciation for Indy neighborhoods, but Kyle was always interested in understanding spaces. As a child he would “read” the family’s Rand McNally atlas on long road trips. This interest transformed into a real desire to see the places he saw plotted on paper, which culminated in Kyle visiting 46 U.S. states and 8 countries. (He may or may not have also won his 5th grade geography bee.) His lifelong love for location drives Kyle’s need to mentally map the nuance that every city, neighborhood, or home uniquely offers.
Before venturing into real estate, Kyle built a decade-long career as a celebrated communication professor and award-winning speech and debate coach at Marian University in Indy’s dynamic Near Northwest. Kyle effectively translates the skills he sharpened in education to better serve his clients in real estate: Teaching the real estate process with simple concepts; researching the marketplace for hidden trends; listening with empathy and openness; advising his clients on the home that best suits their needs; appreciating that every property—whether bought or sold—has its own story to share.
When he isn’t helping people buy or sell their next home, Kyle spends time with his family and friends enjoying all the top-rate amenities offered by this lovely city. Whether it’s museums, trails, or a nationally-recognized food scene—Indy’s got it and Kyle digs it. He also has a penchant for table-top gaming, so if you ever want to snag a ticket and head to Gen Con, he’s up for that too.
< BackDuring her more than 12 years of living in Indianapolis, Lesli has resided in Old Northside, Chatham Arch, Woodruff Place, Holy Cross, and Irvington. She is a fierce advocate for the east side and a dedicated public servant. She is currently President of the Irvington Community Council and a board member of the Irvington Development Organization.
Lesli loves putting her passion for real estate and deep knowledge of Indy to work for her clients. Whether she’s working with a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned investor, Lesli is committed to helping her clients achieve their specific goals. Through constant communication, informed guidance, and a strategic approach to each unique circumstance, Lesli goes above and beyond to ease the stress that comes with buying and selling real estate and makes the experience as enjoyable as possible.
Her win-win attitude allows her to advocate for her clients while ensuring a positive and collaborative experience for all involved in a transaction, delivering results that speak for themselves. She doesn’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to real estate, and she makes it a priority to get to know her clients on a personal level so she can have their individual needs and goals in mind every step of the way.
In addition to serving clients, Lesli rehabs her own investment properties (she especially enjoys respectfully renovating historic homes and keeping the original character intact), manages several rental properties on the east side, and is an Airbnb Superhost. When she’s not working or volunteering, Lesli can often be found playing a rowdy game of kickball, walking her two dogs at one of her favorite parks, cooking a hearty meal for her family, or camping.
< BackMarquette was born in Chicago but grew up on the eastside of Indianapolis. She now lives in Carmel with her two dogs and son, when he isn’t attending classes at Ball State University. Prior to getting back into the real estate industry, she worked in public health in corporate and nonprofit settings. Marquette also has an entrepreneurial background in retail, as she formerly owned an art and gift boutique on Mass Ave. Marquette couldn’t be happier to be back in real estate; she’s thrilled to be working with Maywright and is passionate about providing excellent care and support to our clients.
When she’s not busy keeping transactions running smoothly, Marquette loves reading, morning hikes at Holliday Park, and supporting local art and music. Of course, she loves to travel, too. Her most recent addition to her bucket list is to visit as many National Parks as possible. She is also a proud lifelong Pacers fan and enjoys supporting them when she can.
< BackMurphy Hendy comes to us from mid-Michigan but has been an active Indy resident for the last 10 years with his husband, Lewis, and their 14-year-old pup, Diezel. Murphy has a Bachelor’s degree in theatre from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and he enjoys utilizing his skillset regularly in the real estate industry. Though a life on the stage wasn’t the direction he wanted to take professionally, he gets to engage in very similar ways when he’s showing homes to his eager buyers and advocating for his hopeful sellers. Murphy has been a Realtor for three years and has helped touch the lives of many along the way. He understands the art of blending strong communication skills with an engaging and upbeat attitude, assisting clients emotionally and physically through the many complexities of a transaction. Murphy acknowledges that his training as an actor allows him to remain focused, steady, confident, and graceful no matter the circumstance he finds himself in, especially when representing his trusting clients.
Murphy’s favorite thing about the industry is when a fellow broker acknowledges how special it is to have a colleague on the other end of a transaction who is kind, quick to resolve conflict, overly communicative, and fun – which is ultimately what every client deserves to experience.
Murphy and Lewis live in the Old Northside where they carefully maintain a 135-year-old Queen Ann Victorian home.Though it’s not always easy or glamorous, the experience of keeping up with such an historic estate prepares him to be able to navigate the sometimes alarming homeowner circumstances that a client may also face – so it’s very worth the neverending commitment for him.
In his personal time, Murphy is a seasoned gardener, a stained-glass artist, an aquarist, and a singer-songwriter. His creative spirit runs wild, and he always enjoys when he gets to share that with the people he holds near and dear.
< BackRoss Bemis was born and raised in Westfield, IN and moved to downtown Indianapolis in 2007 where he found a career and a passion in the hospitality industry. He has worked with many local coffee shops in and around downtown Indy, building long lasting quality relationships along the way. Through this, Ross found a passion for serving people, using coffee as the vehicle in which to do so. While serving the city at Provider Coffee and Long Drinks, Ross met his mentor, Jess Martin.
Jess took Ross under her wing and helped him begin his career in real estate. Ross views this career shift as another way to serve people and grow Indianapolis into an even more vibrant and diverse community. Buying a home is a very personal and potentially stressful experience, one that he has experienced himself. He finds pleasure in assisting home buyers through the buying process. Unlike most, he also enjoys the inspection process, learning something new with every home inspected and sold.
Living in and around Indianapolis his whole life has given him a love for the city and a knowledge of the areas and attractions that bless it. Ross bought his home in Irvington in 2019 and lives there with his wife McKenzie and their four pets.
