With easy access to both downtown Indy and Broad Ripple, Midtown Indianapolis is a short walk, bike ride or drive to every type of attraction, shop or restaurant. Homes in these close-knit neighborhoods are a blend of architecture types, from foursquares and Colonials to Craftsmans and bungalows. Illinois Street is thought to be the oldest street in the Midtown area.
Toward the end of the 1800s, the area began its initial development, as farms and single-family homes were built and small residential areas were developed.
