Broad Ripple
The longest established of Indy’s cultural districts is Broad Ripple Village, located just six miles north of downtown. Broad Ripple offers a laid-back, eclectic feel that is part urban and part suburban with close proximity to public transportation and walking and biking trails. Around the neighborhood you’ll find a variety of homes from quaint bungalows to grand tudors. On the banks of the White River sits 62-acre Broad Ripple Park, featuring wooded trails, an outdoor pool, a large dog park and a brand new family center. Though already extremely walkable, plans are in place to add a river walk and a trail extension, connecting the park to the heart of Broad Ripple Village.

Broad Ripple has an active village association which contributes to the strong sense of community that draws individuals to the area. There are community events year-round, including the Broad Ripple Farmers Market, the Broad Ripple Duck Race, the Broad Ripple Art Walk, the Lights up Festival and the Broad Ripple Art Fair.
